Affordable, Real-Time Cold Chain Monitoring
Currently under development, PowerID’s PowerTMP label will be the first solution of its kind for monitoring perishables and pharmaceuticals in real time at the pallet and carton level.
With PowerTMP technology, losses stemming from spoilage of perishables will be reduced dramatically. Cold chain managers will have access to real-time data regarding the quality of service provided by their shippers and be able to identify inefficiencies in their supply chain. This level of control will allow them to improve overall supply chain performance, dramatically curtailing financial losses due to supply chain issues.
PowerTMP labels have the following benefits: - Affordable: Low price and disposability mean it can be discarded after each journey, making it suitable for pallet and carton level tracking.

- Interoperable with existing infrastructure: PowerTMP will conform to EPCglobal and ISO standards, enabling companies to leverage their existing RFID infrastructure for better cold chain visibility.
- Real time monitoring: Cold chain managers will be able to access information on out-of-range events as their goods move through the supply chain.
- High read ranges and reliability: PowerTMP will provide high read ranges of up to 30 meters (98 feet) in free space and reliability even in challenging cold chain environments that typically include liquids and metals.
